Austin Fashion Week is in full swing. Last night I had the pleasure of joining Heather, our CW Founder, for the AFW Discover Runway Show and Gallery. This particular event showcases collections by indie and emerging designers from around the US. The Gallery featured pop-up shops hosted by jewelry and accessories designers for both men and women.

Upon entering Austin Music Hall, the atmosphere was giddy with anticipation. Stylists, bloggers and designers were decked out in Spring fashion for a night of wonder and discovery. Discovering new designers along with in-person introductions between Instagram fashionistas was where the other magic happened. Connections and friendships made all in the name of fashion, our common thread.
No doubt, the talent in the room was incredible and the runway show was impressive to say the least. I was humbled in appreciation for their art and craft. Here is a sampling and a few of our favorites.
Mysterious by NPN featuring jewelry by Suzanna Dai
Designer, Nicholas Phat Nguyen was born in Vietnam and came to America at age 16 "for a new life with new hopes and dreams." AFW has received him well and he closed the show to many guests on their feet.

We also loved Caycee Black.
Caycee Black's Collection's "central focus of design originates from three-dimentional paintings." Her look strikes a balance between reality and creativity, dark and ethereal, bold and feminine. She also seems like a pretty cool chick.

The Gallery pop-up shops did not disappoint and we found ourselves loving these bags!
Allison Mitchell handbags are crafted from animal skins and hides from around the world. The look is deconstructed yet polished, minimal and chic.
