Denim Trend; Classic & Trendy

Denim jeans have been a staple in the all American girls closet every since strong women like Lauren Hutton and Katherine Hepburn made wearing pants sexy and acceptable. With denim being a trend again, the classic girl doesn’t have to look far for the perfect jean jacket than right in her own closet! Usually worn with a crisp white button up or t-shirt, now we see jean jackets worn with maxi-dresses and sundresses, leather pants, jumpsuits and much more.

It was Levi’s that first introduced women’s jeans back in 1934 and as they celebrated their 75th anniversary last year, the history of jeans has evolved from a single 501 cut to skinny, boyfriend, high waisted, low waisted and endless washes.

This season however, denim is not just for jeans but also for jackets, shoes, purses and even bathing suits! It’s been on countless runway shows such as Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney, Oscar le la Renta, just to name a few! The good news is that you don’t have to break the bank to run with the trend, just run down to your local Target or Targe′ and pick up the trend in various forms of clothes, accessories, and shoes by top desingers like Zac Posen.

But this trend comes with a warning: Stop before you look like you stepped out of an 80’s sitcom!
