Letter from the Executive Director
Welcome to the CW Family! I know this is an exciting time for you because God is calling you to something new; a new dream and a new hope! It's both exciting and scary; we get it! And as your family, we are here for you for the whole journey. It's our joy and our mission to equip and empower women to be who they are created to be, inside and out. But that starts with YOU, first!
Below you will find a whole bunch of stuff to read before you take the next steps, but just know if you've come this far, we believe God has a call on your life to reach women through CW who are discovering their faith and/or trying to figure out how their God-given purpose fits into the season of life they find themselves in. You, my friend, are a legacy builder!
Our favorite verse is the one found in Mark 16:15 where Jesus speaks to his disciples for the very last time. It reads, "He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." By saying 'yes' to Created Woman you ARE going into the world to make disciples, isn't that cool?! And as we GO, we are always mindful that everyone has their own journey to find Jesus and we do not expect those we serve to have the same knowledge, language or understanding we may do. It's just our job and our honor to point them to the truth of Jesus Christ and have fun doing it!

Whew! That was a lot but if you made it this far, then you are probably ready to continue on! But before you move on the final 3 steps, be sure you have read through, understand and agree with all of the below:
How to launch!
With honor!
It's important to us that we honor your time and the women we serve. In order to do that, we ask that each volunteer signs a 1-year commitment. By signing, you make a promise to the women we serve that you will show up and show up well! It also allows you to re-think your schedule at the end of your year commitment. Life is constantly changing and we get it! Being a part of the CW Family should be life giving to you and our women so prayerfully consider before you commit so that your ‘yes’ will be ‘yes.’
I hope that’s okay and if it is, keep reading! There are so many opportunities for you to become the woman you are created to be!
STEWARDSHIP
We are not perfect and do not expect you to be! So, don’t worry, we are not going to ask you to to be anyone but yourself. We will, however, remind you that if you are serving as a leader for Created Woman that no matter where you go you bring the CW brand and beliefs with you. Leadership is a privilege that also comes with extra responsibility. Please take it seriously. If you find yourself in a season where you feel your leadership role does not align with your personal beliefs, we ask that you take a leave of absence. We’ll walk the journey with you and answer any questions we have. After all, we’re family!
Additionally, we all need a break from time to time because of reason relating to family, work and other circumstances that are out of our control. It’s no big deal, you come first not CW. However, we do ask you to consider these factors before signing any commitment. Just remember, the door is always open to come back to leadership. Once family, you're always family!
The Board of Directors does reserve the right to appoint volunteers and ask someone to take a leave of absence.
Volunteer Qualifications
A heart for women in the Austin community and beyond!
Excellent people skills and love to hang out with women.
Enjoys keeping up with what’s going on in the world around us. Relevant!
Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
Willingness to help Created Woman with fundraising efforts as needed. Example, online Giving Tuesday campaign
TIME COMMITMENT
Monthly Events: All family events are posted on the facebook CW Family page to help you rembmer.
4 times a year! Attend quarterly family happy hour where we will talk about vision and get creative with how we carry it out. This is also your opportunity to be poured into. You deserve it! If you don't live in the Austin area or can not make it, we alway record it and send out a podcast link.
Attend monthly event that your team is assigned to so that we can stay in community and reach HER! Ex: Writer’s meet the 1st Thursday of every month or Gather Her the 4th Thursday of the month.
Yearly Events
Attend CW Family retreat usually in the fall. Costs include food/snacks sign up but lodging is free. CW Family retreats are fun, relaxing and full of team building and spiritual growth.
Respond to any emails within 48 hours.
SOCIAL COMMITMENT
Share events on your personal social media pages.
Comment & share social media posts as often as possible so to help build our reach
Personally invite 2 friends to each to Gather Her monthly.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
Give a minimum of $10/mos to the CW Foundation.

How we stay in touch as a family!
CW Family Webpage
The CW Family webpage is a private web page that has everything you need to know ! In an effort to help with communication, the CW Family webpage is our HUB! Other avenues include:
- CW Family fb page: Videos and where you will talk to your CW Family
- Box.com: Hub for all documents and materials you may need.
quarterly we gather as a family to build community within our own team, hear from amazing speakers and laugh a whole lot! It's 1.5 hours of fun with your family.
We have a facebook family group page just for us! This is place we ask for prayer, update each other on what's going on in our lives and anything the family may need help with.
Also, on every Monday, Heather records a 5-minute facebook live encouraging the whole team with a scripture and/or challenge for the week. We also take time to list our prayer request on a special Wednesday post.
