Fun Fashion at the Pool

Bottom line about Fashion, it’s all about individuality. And with no signs of the summer heat letting up anytime soon, why not embrace it.  Throw a pool party!  Whether it’s your girlfriends or new friends, have some fun with it and stay “cool” at the pool. Just because you are sweating from head to toe, doesn’t mean you have to let anyone see it.  Always start with a great hat. I prefer wide-brimmed to help protect your face from sun-damage, but there are many options to choose from. Skip the fuss of blow-drying and grab your favorite.

Cover-ups

And we all know about how much “fun” it is to pick out the perfect swimsuit.  While it can be painful matching your body type to what’s available on the market, there are lots of ways to hide your flaws AND say in fashion.

Cover-ups are becoming more fashionable, and less utilitarian.  Retailers are offering many varieties of lightweight sun-dresses in varying lengths and patterns.  Mix it up with bold accessories- Sunglasses, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and the perfect summer bag (check out Heather’s recent post) add pizzazz to any otherwise boring outfit.  This summers trend:  large florals, chains , white and colorful pieces.

Sun Safety

And, to keep your lips from getting chapped, always carry an SPF lip balm with you and reapply every hour or so.  Your lips will stay soft and healthy.  Plus, don’t forget the sunblock and stay hydrated- your body will thank you later.
