God-sized Dreams

God-sized Dreams

Embrace Every God-sized Dream For Your Life!

I've always had a dream to tour the Mediterranean on a 30-day cruise. I happily share this dream with anyone that will listen. Just the thought of it makes me smile. I remain hopeful and excited that one day this dream will be a reality. That's just one of many dreams I have for my life.

Then there are the dreams and plans that God has for my life. I'll admit those dreams I don't share as easily or so quickly. If I'm honest, sometimes I struggle to speak aloud the dreams God has for my life. It's as if my decision to not dwell on it would keep them from manifesting. I also become the complete opposite of excited. His dreams cause a huge lump to form in my throat, sweaty palms, and butterflies in my stomach.

Do you share the same reactions when you think about your God-sized dreams? Perhaps your response isn't physical like mine, but you can relate to refusing to speak those dreams out loud to yourself or anyone else. Why do we fear God's dreams and plans? Are they any more impossible than dreams I can attain on my own? Absolutely not! If anything, God's dreams and plans for my life are guaranteed. You see, in the Spirit, where God dwells and operates, His dreams for me are already funded, staffed, and fully supported. There isn't a need found in my God-sized dreams that God hasn't already sent provision.

You may ask, if God has it all figured out, then why does He need me? What's my job? I'm so glad you asked. Our only responsibilities are to trust the Creator and submit to His plans. When He prompts us to speak those dreams aloud, we should do it with Godly confidence. God-sized dreams and fear can't cohabitate in our hearts. God's dreams for our lives are Ephesians 3:20 – “exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond anything we could ever dream” on our own. I encourage all of us today to remind our big fears that we serve a bigger God!

Reflection

1.     What emotions and reactions arise when you think about your God-sized dreams? If any of those things are negative (i.e. Fear, hesitation, unbelief, unworthiness), take a moment in prayer to give those emotions and reactions over to God and allow Him to replace them.

2.     How do you believe God desires for you to feel about His dreams and plans for your life?

3.     Proverbs 18:21 states our words have the power to kill or give life. What God-sized dreams do you need to give life to or speak life over? Take some time to speak aloud those dreams & plans God has placed on your heart.

Goals

Write one goal you can accomplish today (at home, at work, with family, etc.) that will allow you to live out your purpose in regard to God-sized DREAMS:

Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.

(Ephesians 3:20 TLB)

Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.

(Ephesians 3:20 TPT)
